ITM University Fresh Admission Notice 2012


ITM University offering admission to the following courses:
B.Tech (550 seats)

For all disciplines in undergraduate engineering programmes, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate, and 60% each in Mathematics, Physics & English are required. Also, the candidate has to appear for the AIEEE. The AIEEE is an all-India engineering entrance examination conducted annually by the CBSE.  Selections to ITM University are based on the merit of all-India AIEEE marks and aggregate marks of Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English.  AIEEE marks are given 75% weightage, and 10+2 marks are given 25% weightage.
The programme is available in the following disciplines, which take four years (8 semesters) to complete:
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering

M.Tech (180 seats for full-time study of two years and 160 seats for part-time study of three years)
A minimum of 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA on a 10-point scale is essential. Candidates with a valid GATE score are given a preference over non-GATE candidates. If a GATE score is not available, the admission to the MTech programme will be made on merit, based on the marks in their qualifying examination, i.e., BE/BTech or MSc/MCA. GATE qualified students are also eligible for a scholarship-cum-teaching assistantship, based on their GATE score merit.

BBA (60 seats)
To be eligible for admission to the BBA, a three-year Bachelor of Business Administration course offered by the School of Management of the university, a candidate must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of having passed the 10+2 examination in the English medium  conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), or equivalent examination, with an overall aggregate of 60%. Admissions are made on merit, determined on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the qualifying examination and personal interview. The weightage is 90% for 10+2 examinations and 10% for personal interview.

MBA (90 Seats)
MBA candidates should have passed their Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the English medium, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent CGPA.
Admission is on merit, based on the marks obtained in all-India entrance examinations, (CAT/CMAT/MAT), followed by group discussions, personal interviews and work experience. The weightage for each component is notified on the university website well before the start of admissions.

BBA-LLB (Hons) (120 Seats)
To be eligible for admission to the First Year BBA-LLB (Hons), a five-year integrated honours course of the School of Law of the university, a candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination in the English medium, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, or equivalent examination in any stream, with an overall aggregate of 55%. Additionally, the student should have appeared for Law entrance examinations of CLAT/LSAT/AILET, the marks of which shall be the basis of merit for admissions.

Master of Laws (LLM) (20 Seats)
To be eligible for admission to the LLM of the School of Law of the University, candidates should have passed their LLB degree examination conducted by any university recognized by the UGC. Admissions shall be made on merit, determined on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the qualifying examination and personal interview.

PhD
Admissions for PhD are done on the basis of continuous or rolling admissions round the year in all three Schools, i.e., School of Engineering & Technology, School of Management, and School of Law.  Admissions are based on the ITM University entrance test for PhD.

  1. Journals are the medium through which budding candidates publish their articles about their research. These sources are made available because of the UGC.

    If the aspirants choose any private journal except for UGC approved journals for their research other than that, it is not considered as valid. As of now, the UGC Approved Journals list has now been replaced by UGC – CARE.
