The Deemed University was formally inaugurated by the then President of India Sri R. Venkataraman on 26th August, 1989. The Vidyapeetha started functioning as a Deemed University from the academic year 1991 - 92.

Certificate course in Sanskrit
Duration: 6 Months;
Eligibility: 13 years with reading and writing ability in Sanskrit . (Open University System).

Eligibility: Certificate course in Sanskrit of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati / Samskrita Prathama Diksha of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi / Prak-Sastriy + 2 or Equivalent Examination, Age : 16 years (OUS)

Duration: 1 year;
Eligibility: Any Degree

Duration: 2 years;
Eligibility: SSC or Equivalent Examination.

Duration : 3 years;
Eligibility : Prak-Sastri/+2/Intermediate or Equivalent.

B.A. (Sanskrit)
Duration : 3 years;
Eligibility : Prak-Sastri/+2/Intermediate or Equivalent.

Acharya
Duration 2 years;
Eligibility : Sanskrit/B.A (Sanskrit) or equivalent examination (or) completed 21 years of age as on August 1, 2011 and a pass in the Entrance Test of Sastri standard in the concerned shastras scheduled to be held on August 14, 2011(OUS).

How to apply: The application form & Prospectus can be obtained from the Director, D.D.E, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati - 517 064 (A.P.) in person on production of DD Rs. 100/- or through post by sending a DD for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati. Name and address should be written on the backside of the D.D.

with fine Rs.50/- : September 10, 2011; Rs. 100/- : September 21, 2011; Rs. 200/- : September 30, 2011.
