Fresh Admission to M.Phil at Gautam Buddha University Noida 2012


Gautam Buddha University is required to send his/ her application in the prescribed Application Form. The form can be downloaded from University Website: http://www.gbu.ac.in
The application form should be downloaded from the university website www.gbu.ac.in. The candidate should submit the application form along with a demand draft of Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of The Chairman Admissions, Gautam Buddha University payable at Noida/Delhi. The completed application form should be accompanied with following documents:
  • Demand draft for Rs 1200/- (Rs 600/- for SC/ST)
  • Self attested copies of mark sheets and certificates of all examinations starting from 10th onwards.
  • Experience certificates,
  • Self attested copy of caste certificate, if applicable
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are required to send completed application form. The candidates who have qualified JRF/NET/SLET will be given preferance. The candidates shortlisted after the personal interview shall submit the required fee on a specified date.
* The admission of candidates to the programme will be provisional subject to their successful completion of all the requirements at the time of registration.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
The minimum period for submitting the M.Phil. thesis shall not be less than one year from the date of approval of RDC or any other date as approved by RDC and the maximum period will not exceed two years under any circumstances. This period excludes the duration to complete course work. If the candidate is not able to submit his/her thesis within the specified duration of time, the V ice-Chancellor on the recommendation of Dean of the School may extend it further up to a maximum of one year only.

Eligibility: Candidates with Master’s Degree in the subject concerned or equivalent degree of any other Indian or Foreign Universities with not less than 55% marks are eligible to apply.

Selection Process:
  • An entrance examination will be conducted by the Heads of the concerned departments of the University. The entrance examination shall consist of objective and descriptive type questions of 50marks each. The duration of the examination shall be two hours.
  • Candidates who secures 50% marks and above in the entrance examination are eligible for admission to M.Phil course.

  • The filled in applications shall be forwarded to the concerned Heads of Departments of the University along with the original chalan receipt for Rs. 50/- remitted towards application fee and Rs.250/- for entrance fee (Rs.85/- for SC/STcandidates as entrance fee) to Calicut University Fund.

Eligibility:
  • Full time: Candidate with Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with not less than 55% of marks and those who have qualified for the Master’s Degree prior to 19-09-1991, with not less than 50% of marks, can also register .SC /ST candidates are given 5% exemption from the prescribed minimum marks.
  • Part time: Anyone who wishes to pursue M.Phil. programme, irrespective of employment status, is eligible to register under Part time research, provided they fulfill the eligibility norms.
