Invites final year Engineering students to join the Indian Navy as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officers in Technical / Executive Branches under University Entry Scheme (UES) Course Commencing - July 2012

Applications are invited from unmarried Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Technical / Executive Branches of Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES)

Eligibility Conditions:

• Age : Between 19 to 24 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1988 to 01 July 1993; both dates inclusive)
• Educational Qualifications : Applicant should be studying in AICTE approved College/Institution with one of the following disciplines and should have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks till pre final year (Those in the final years need not apply):
• Engineering Branch (Only Men to apply) : Mechanical / Marine / Automotive/ Mechatronics/ Industrial and Production/ Metallurgy / Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Control and Production
• Naval Architecture Cadre (Both Men and Women can apply) : Naval Architecture/ Civil/ Mechanical/ Aerospace/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical
• Electrical Branch  (Only Men to apply) : Electrical/ Electronics/ Tele Communication / Instrumentation / Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication/ Power Engineering / Control System Engineering / Power Electronics/ Computer Science /  Information Technology/ Avionics Engineering
• General Service (X) (Only Men can apply): BE/ B.Tech. in  Mechanical/ Marine/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Production/ Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology/ Control/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommuication

Physical Standards : Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male - 157 cms and Female - 152 cms with correlated weight. Eye Sight - 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.

Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400/- MSP Rs.6000/-

Indian Navy Sailors Artificer Apprentice 131st batch

Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates for Enrolment as Sailors for Artificer Apprentice (AA) - 131st Batch. Course Commencing February 2012.

Eligibility Conditions:

• Age : Candidates to be born between 31 January 1992 to 30th January 1995 (both dates inclusive)
• Educational Qualifications : 55% or more marks in aggregate in 10+2/equivalent examination with complusary subjects Physics and Mathematics : optional subjects Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science.

Pay : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2000 plus MSP Rs.2000 plus X group Pay Rs.1400 plus allowances.

Selection Criteria : Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Written test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations.

How to Apply: Application Forms, in accordance with the prescribed format, and complete in all respects should be sent through Ordinary Post only with the type of entry, choice of centre and percentage of marks in 10+2 is to be clearly written on top of the envelope containing the application. Envelope should be of White colour with attested documents, two self-addressed envelopes of size 22x10 cms with Rs.10/- stamp affixed on one envelope to the following address:
