Full-time/part-time Ph.D programme in University Departments of Periyar University

Applications are invited for admission to full-time/part-time Ph.D programme being offered in University Departments of Periyar University and full-time/part-time M.Phil and Ph.D.Programmes being offered in the affiliated Colleges/Research Institutions of Periyar University during the Academic Year 2011-2012.
Application forms and prospectus can be obtained from The Registrar, Periyar University, Salem-11.
Application Cost: 1 .Rs.300/-(Rs. 150/-for SC/ST/PH)for M.Phil programme.
2.Rs.300/-(Rs.150/-for SC/ST/PH) for Ph.D programme respectively in form of Demand Draft in any nationalized banks infavour of The Registrar, Periyar University, Salem Payable at Salem. Other modes of payment are strictly not allowed. A self-addressed envelope for Rs.40/- of size 28X13 cms has to be enclosed to get the application by post. Separate request has to be made for each programme. The envelope requesting application form may be superscribed “Request for Application Form for M.Phil/Ph.D Admission”. Candidates appearing for final semester/year examination can also apply provided they satisfy the eligibility conditions for admission at the time of joining. The SC/ST candidates have to produce attested copy of PG degree Certificate (or) Provisional Certificate (or) PG all semester mark statement and Community Certificate along with the demand draft.
Ph.D applications can be obtained and submitted throughout the year for both full-time and part-time programme. Registration is available four times in a year-January, April, July, October.
