Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) 2011

Board of School Education has issued important guidelines for STET (HTET). Those who are looking for and planning to apply for STET (HTET) 2011 they are advised to read the following guidelines issued by HBSE. One can download the detailed guidelines for STET (HTET) from following link.
About STET (HTET)
A person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher or Lecturer in any of the schools recognized by the Department of School Education, Haryana and affiliated by the Board of School Education, Haryana has to qualify the “Haryana Teacher’s Eligibility Test”. Qualifying in the Teacher Eligibility Test is made mandatory to ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at Elementary, Secondary and Senior Secondary levels.
This test will be conducted by this Board in accordance with these Guidelines and such other Rules/Regulations/Instructions/Policies laid down by the National Council for Teacher Education/Department of School Education, Haryana.
Structure and Content for STET (HTET) 2011:
1. For Teachers I to V
No. of MCQs – 150; Duration of examination: one-and-a-half hours.
(i) Child Development and pedagogy: 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (Hindi): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (English): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics: 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies: 30 MCQs 30 Marks
2. For Teachers VI to X:
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (Hindi)(Compulsory): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II(English) (Compulsory): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) (a) For Mathematics and Science Teacher: Mathematics and Science –
60 MCQs of 1 mark each
(b) For Social Studies teacher: Social Studies –
60 MCQs of 1 mark each
(c) For any other teacher – either (iv) (a) or (iv) (b)
3. For Lecturers
No. of MCQs–150; Duration of Examination: one-and-a-half hours.
Structure and Content:
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (Hindi)(Compulsory): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II(English) (Compulsory): 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Subject specific: 60 MCQs 60 Marks
Qualifying Marks: 60%
Negative Marking: There shall be no negative marking
