(Candidates can apply in one subject only):

Duration: Minimum period of training for Ph.D shall be :

• 02 years for candidates who possess MD/ MS/ PG Diploma.
• 03 year for candidates with M.S.c
• 04 years for candidates with MBBS degree.

Maximum period to complete the Ph.D shall be 05 years. Registration of candidates not qualifying the Ph.D program within prescribed period shall be cancelled.

Eligibility:
Biochemistry

• MBBS; MD (Biochemistry)
          Or
• MBBS; Diplomat National Board of Examinations (Biochemistry)
          Or
• Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a minimum of 55% of the aggregate marks in the professional examinations.
          Or
• M.Sc Biochemistry/Clinical Biochemistry/ Medical Biochemistry / Medical Lab. Technology (Biochemistry) or subjects allied i.e. (Biophysics/ Biotechnology).

Cl. Pharmacology

• MBBS; MD (Pharmacology)
         Or
• MBBS; Diplomat of the National Board of Examinations (Cl. Pharmacology)
        Or
• Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a Minimum of 55% of the aggregate marks in the professional examinations.
        Or
• M.Sc Pharmacology/Medical Lab. Technology (Pharmacology) /Biotechnology.

Immunology & Molecular Medicine

• MBBS; MD (Medicine/ Pathology /Microbiology/ Pediatrics).
          Or
• MBBS; Diplomat of the National Board of Examinations. (DNB Immunology)
          Or
• Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a' minimum of 55% of the aggregate marks in the professional examinations.     
          Or
• M.Sc immunology/ Medical lab. Technology (immunology)/ Molecular Biology / Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Human Genetics.

The above qualifications must be from the recognized colleges / University approved by the MCI / UGC.

Selection process: Method of selection shall be by open competitive examination conducted by SKIMS (Deemed University).

July 15, 2011 against payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) to be deposited in Account Head CD-183 at J&K Bank, SKIMS Soura Srinagar upto July 23, 2011 and shall be submitted in Academic Section with all requisite documents
