THE exam is conducted for geologists to work at Geological Survey of India and Central Ground Water Board (CGWB).

Note: The candidates who apply for the post of geologist need not attempt the Hydrogeology paper. The candidates who apply for the Hydro geologist post will have to attend all the papers except the Geology paper 3.

Online application fee: Rs 50 ither by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master credit/debit card.

- Master's degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology OR
- Master’s degree in Mineral Exploration (for posts in Geological Survey of India only), or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology (for posts in central ground water board only) from a recognized university OR
- Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad
- Those studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree exam can also apply.
