PhD, MSc, Certificate programmes at BLDE University

BLDE University invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to new programmes in the academic year 2011-12.

Programmes:

1. Ph.D Programmes
In – Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-chemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, ENT, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Surgery.

• Seat matrix: Two seats in each subject
• Eligibility: A recognized qualifying higher specialty degree, postgraduate degree/diploma is essential with a minimum of 50% of marks in the qualifying examination or a second class or equivalent in the qualifying postgraduate degree/diploma. The qualifying degree has to be registered with the respective Councils as the case may be.
• Fees: Rs. 48,600/-

2. Post Graduate Programmes:
· M.Sc Human Anatomy - Two seats
· M.Sc Human Physiology - Two seats
· M Sc Medical Biochemistry - Two seats
· M Sc Medical Microbiology - Two seats

• Eligibility: Pass in B.Sc science with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in case of General Category, 40% in case of SC / ST / OBC Category (OBC for Karnataka only), and 45% for candidates with locomotor disability of lower limbs.
• Fees: Rs. 60500.00 yearly (for others) Rs. 31500.00 yearly (for BLDEU employees)
• Course Duration: 3 Years

3. Fellowship in Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery:

• Eligibility: Passed in Diploma in ENT (DLO) or MS (ENT) of statutory University.
• Fees: Rs. 10,000/-
• Course Duration: 6 Months

4. Diploma in Medical Illustration:

• Eligibility: Pass in DTC (Drawing Teachers’ Course), PUC-II with science or Any Degree.
• Fees: Rs.15000.00 for the whole course payable in two installments.
• Course Duration: 12 Months

5. Under Graduate Programmes:
· B.Sc MLT: 20 seats

• Eligibility: In case of General Category 50% in PCB in PUC-II / 10+2 / any equivalent examination, 40% in case of SC / ST / OBC Category (OBC for arnataka only), and 45% for candidates with loco-motor disability of lower limbs.
• Fees: Rs. 28800.00 yearly (for others) 14400.00 yearly (for BLDEU employees)
• Course Duration: 3 Years

6. Certificate Course in Good Laboratory Practices:

• Eligibility: DMLT / BSc Biochemistry / BSc Biotechnology / MSc Biochemistry / MSc Biotechnology.
• Fees: Rs. 5000.
• Course Duration: 6 Months

7. Certificate Course in Histology Techniques:

• Eligibility: DMLT / B.Sc.
• Fees: Rs. 5000.
• Course Duration: 6 Months

8. Certificate Course in Embalming Techniques:

• Eligibility: DMLT or Diploma in Health Inspector.
• Fees: Rs. 5000.
• Course Duration: 3 Months

9. Certificate Course in Museum Techniques:

• Eligibility: DMLT or B.Sc.
• Fees: Rs. 5000.
• Course Duration: 6 Months

10. Certificate Course in Mortuary Techniques:

• Eligibility: SSLC / 10th Class.
• Fees: Rs. 5000.
• Course Duration: 6 Months or The candidate must assisted minimum of 25autopsies during three months.

Selection procedure:

• Ph.D Programmes: Selection through All India Entrance Examination.
• Other courses: Selection will be on the basis of inter-se merit in the qualifying examination.

• Last date for receipt of application form along with DD and Enclosures: August 22, 2011
• Date of Entrance Examination (only for Ph.D. Courses): August 25, 2011
• Date for Selection / Interview (tentative): August 30, 2011
