PTD Courses 2012 at MS University, Baroda

Eligibility :

(i) Candidates having passed the Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering of M.S. University of Baroda or its equivalent as recognized thereto with at least 40% for SC/ST, 45% for SEBC, and 50% for open/other at the Final Year, (i.e. aggregate of last two semesters in a semester systems) or Best of ten wherever applicable of the Diploma Examination will be considered eligible for admission to the respective branch of the P.T.D. Course. Candidates having passed the Diploma in Industrial Electronics and Production Engineering of the M.S. University Polytechnic are also eligible for admission if they satisfy the requirements of eligibility as mentioned above.

(ii) Candidates must have a Minimum Two Year’s Full-time recognized industrial working experience in an organization of repute after passing the Diploma examination in the field in which admission is sought as on 30-9-2011 of which at least last one year full time working experience should be in or around Vadodara (‘within 30 km. radius from Faculty of Tech. &Engg. Premises) (Apprentice expenence will not be considered).

(iii) At the time of application and admission, the candidates must be serving in Government or Industries in or around Vadodara (within 30 km. radius from Faculty of Technology & Engineering, Premises). Further after the admission and till the completion of the Part-Time Degree Course, candidate must be actually working in Govemment or Industries in or around Vadodara and also must be living within 16 kms. Radius from Faculty of Tech. Engg. Premises.(iv) The candidates must be sponsored by his employer where he is employed on the full-time basis at present.
Distribution of seats

(i) The available seats will be filled-in in the ratio of 70:20:10 respectively in each branch for (i) Diploma-holders of Polytechnic of M.S. University,

(ii) Diploma holders of other Polytechnics in Gujarat State, and

(iii) Diploma holders of Polytechnics outside Gujarat State.

(ii) The admission will be governed by marks obtained in Theory Papers only by the candidates at the qualifying examination and the weightage of the period of experience as per rules provided the candidate fulfils the minimum requirement of eligibility as stated above.

The weightage of experience shall be 1.5% per every year of recognized experience beyond two years subject to a maximum of 15%. (Apprentice experience will not be considered).However, two percent of marks will be deducted for every additional attempt to pass any of the last two semesters/Final Year of the Diploma Course for the purpose of calculation of percentage of marks for determining the merit for admission.

Reservation of seats will be as per the rules of Government of Gujarat.

Enrolment/Eligibility Certificate: Students who have passed the Diploma Examination held by the M.S. University of Baroda are required to produce Enrolment Certificate number at the time of interview. Students coming from other Universities/ Boards are required to obtain Provisional Eligibility Certificate which can be had from the Registrar, The M. S. University of Baroda, Vadodara-390 002, by making an application to his office in the prescribed form and must produce the same at the time of interview. The final Eligibility Certificate will however be obtained and submitted by the candidate within six months from the date of admission.

Procedure for Application:

(i) Blank application forms will be available from the PTD Office of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering on payment of Rs. 100/- in cash on working days.

(ii) Duly filled in application forms with necessary enclosures, duly signed on back by the candidate and his guardian, attested photographs, etc. should reach the Office of the Director and Dean, PTD Course, Faculty of Technology and Engineering., Kalabhavan, Near Badamadi Baug, Vadodara-390 001 on or before 21-9-2011 or working days.
