Note: Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Ph. D. (Full Time) Program with teaching assistantship under TEQIP II should note that

• Number of candidates admitted per department may change depending on the availability & suitability of the candidates.
• Candidates shall receive teaching assistantship @ Rs. 18,000/- per month for 1st / 2nd year and Rs. 20,000/- for 3rd year / 4th year subject to satisfactory progress, based on six monthly reviews.

Duration:
PhD (Full time) with teaching Assistantship: Three (3) years (therefore teaching assistantship will be available for period of three years, and may be extended on semester basis for fourth year depending upon the performance.)
PhD (Part time): 4 years (minimum)

Chemical Engineering	BE / B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology/ Biochemical Engineering / Biotechnology with first class at UG level AND M E / M. Tech in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology/ Biochemical Engineering / Biotechnology with a minimum of First Class (C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater than 6.75 on a 10 point scale) at Bachelor’s or Master’s level. Desirable: valid GATE score.
Civil Engineering	B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE (Civil) and M E / M.Tech in any branch of Civil Engineering with a minimum of First Class (C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater than 6.75 on a 10 point scale) at Bachelor’s or Master’s level. Desirable: GATE score.
Computer Science and Engineering	BE / B.Tech. in any branch of Engineering and M.E./M. Tech in one of the following branches Computer Science/ Computer Technology/Computer Engineering/ Information Technology/ Information Science with a minimum of First Class (C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater than 6.75 on a 10 point scale) at Master’s level. Electrical Engineering	M E / M.
