Salary:

• Scientist/Engineer-SC: Rs.15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay: 5400/- per month
• Scientist/Engineer-SD: Rs.15600-39100(PB-3) + Grade Pay: 6600/- per month

Age limit:

• Scientist/Engineer-SC is 35 years
• No age limit for the post of Scientist/Engineer-SD

Eligibility:

Scientist/Engineer-SC (Geology/Geophysics)

• M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Geology/ Geophysics
• Knowledge in computer analysis, image processing and GIS
  
  Job role: Selected candidates will be required to work in a multi disciplinary team engaged in either of the following fields:
   
• Analysis/ modeling related to Himalayan glaciers using remote sensing OR
• Analysis of satellite data to understand morphology, mineralogy, volcanism and related processes of Moon and Planets OR
• Calibration and validation activities of satellite sensor data

Scientist/Engineer-SC (Physical Oceanography)

• M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Physical Oceanography.
• Knowledge in computer programming, image processing and GIS
  
  Job role: Selected candidate will be required to work in a multi disciplinary team engaged in either of the following fields:
   
• Atmospheric correction of ocean color data and retrieval of geophysical parameters and validation OR
• Analysis/ modeling related to Coastal Zone management

Scientist/Engineer-SC (Water Resources Management)

• M.Tech in Civil Engineering with specialization in Water resources.
• Knowledge in river/reservoir hydrology and analytical modeling.
  Job role: The selected candidate will be required to work for hydrological modeling including modeling impact of climate change on terrestrial hydrology

Scientist/Engineer-SD (Forestry)

• Ph.D. in Forestry with consistent first class academic records.
• Job role: Selected candidate will be required to work on remote sensing applications in forestry including tree growth modeling, climate change modeling, and develop bioclimatic index using RS based inputs

Scientist/Engineer-SD (Geology/ Geophysics)

• Ph.D. in Geology/Geophysics with research experiences and consistent first class academic records
• Knowledge in computer programming, image processing and GIS with relevant experience in the field of Himalayan Glaciology.
• Job role: Selected candidate will be required to work in a multi disciplinary team engaged in “Analysis/modeling related to Himalayan glaciers using remote sensing, GIS and field data”.

Scientist/Engineer-SD (Geology/Geophysics)

• Ph. D in the field of Geology/Geophysics/ Lunar/Planetary Geosciences with consistent first class academic records.
• Knowledge in computer programming, image processing with relevant research experience in working with planetary data.
• Job role: Selected candidate will be required to work in a multi disciplinary team engaged in “Analysis of satellite data for study related to morphology, mineralogy, volcanism and related processes for Moon and Planets”.

Scientist/Engineer-SD (Physical Oceanography)

• Ph.D. in Physics/ Physical Oceanography with consistent first class academic records and research experience in the filed of Marine Optics/Ocean color remote sensing/ Coastal zone management.
• Knowledge in computer programming, analysis, image processing
  
  Job role: Selected candidate will be required to work in a multi disciplinary team engaged in either of the following fields :
• Atmospheric correction of ocean color data and retrieval of geophysical parameters and validations OR
• Analysis/modeling related to Coastal Zone management

Induction Training programme: Immediately after joining, the candidates have to undergo an Induction Training Programme at different ISRO Centres, which will be a prerequisite for confirmation in the Organisation.
