Eligibility: Passed MA /
MSc in Economics with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates)
from any UGC recognized University. Reservation for SC / ST candidates
as per State Government Rules. (02 seats are reserved for College
teachers)
Selection process: The candidates will have to appear for an admission test. The admission test will comprise of a written test of 100 marks and an interview. Candidates qualifying the admission test will be called for the interview. Candidates who have qualified NET/ SET or are full time permanent teachers of any govt. / govt.- aided college, are exempted from the written test.
How to apply: Applications forms priced Rs. 300/- (For SC / ST- Rs. 200/-) may be obtained from the Admission Section of Kalyani University between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm on all working days except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Filled-up application forms along with necessary documents and a research proposal within 500 words should reach the office of Kalyani University.
Documents to be submitted along with the application form: Copy of age-proof certificate, mark sheet of MA / MSc BA / BSc Examination, Certificate of NET / SET if applicable, employment in college if applicable and caste certificate.
