Programme: M Phil (Museology and Heritage Studies)
Eligibility: Candidates having minimum of 55% in M.A Museology, History, Archaeology, History of Art, Conservation, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, Botany, Geology, Zoology, MBA(HT), MBA, Buddhist Studies, Fine Arts, Environment Science, Chemistry, Fine Arts, languages , Law, etc, from the University of Jammu or any other University/ Institution recognize d by UGC are eligible for admission.
Selection process: Admission shall be based on entrance test which will consist of:
- Research Aptitude component (25 marks): Descriptive in nature and will consist of five questions, candidates will be asked to attempt two question of 12 ½ marks each.
- Academic component (75 marks): 50 multiple choice objective type questions, candidates will be asked to attempt all, each multiple choice question will be of 1 ½ marks each.The questions will be based on Museology, History, Heritage and allied subjects to check the candidate’s aptitude in Museology and Heritage.
How to apply: Application Forms are available from the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Forms and Stationary), University of Jammu, Jammu.
Draw a DD of Rs. 500 in favour of, Director, Centre for Studies in Museology as the entrance exam fee. Applications complete in all respects and duly supported by relevant documents should reach the office of the Centre for Studies in Museology, 1st floor, General Zorawar Singh Auditorium complex.
