Admissions are open for the Azim Premji University Masters Programmes 2012


Post-graduate programmes (2 years)
  1. Master of Arts in Education
    Develops outstanding professionals for fulfilling careers in Education, including as administrators, curriculum designers, entrepreneurs, technology experts, policy specialists, researchers etc. Students will have the opportunity to focus on specific areas such as Early Childhood Education, School Leadership and Management etc. in the second year. Alternatively, students can pursue a balanced general programme as well.
  2. Master of Arts in Development
    Builds high calibre professionals for leadership in the social sector, with abilities in inter-related development domains, ranging from Governance & Health to Ecology. Career opportunities would be across these domains, including in the field, in operations, in analysis and policy roles.
  3. Masters in Teacher Education 
    Develops highly competent teacher educators. Serves the critical need of the Indian education system, to have a large number of dedicated, high ability professionals in the teacher education system.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
M.A. (Education) and M.A. (Development): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Candidates with work experience are actively encouraged to apply to both these programmes.
Master’s in Teacher Education*: Master’s Degree in any discipline and a professional teaching certification (B.Ed., D.Ed., B.EL.Ed or equivalent). Minimum two years of teaching experience at School or Pre- University levels.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection based on written test & interview examining proficiency in English, analytical ability,
general & social awareness and knowledge of relevant subjects. Written test at 28 centres
across India on Sunday, February 26, 2012.
